The Public Art Committee advises the city council in matters pertaining to public art acquisitions and serves as steward of the city’s collection. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB)
After a City-led series of town halls in 2021, a grassroots, community-led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee was established to discuss and implement actions that promote the values of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
Generations in Jazz
Generations in Jazz provides music educational, performance and cultural opportunities for students and adults. They also host the annual Lafayette Summer Music Jazz Workshop.
Lafayette Art & Wine Festival
The Lafayette Art & Wine Festival is the largest event in Lamorinda and one of the five biggest outdoor festivals in Contra Costa County. Hosted by the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by the City of Lafayette and other partners, the outdoor event features hundreds of stalls of art and handmade crafts, four stages with continuous music, multiple kid zones, plus a great selection of quality food, wines and microbrews! Admission, parking and bike parking/valet are free!
Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation Programs
The Lafayette Library and Learning Center has a reputation for hosting hundreds of exceptional programs each year. The Library is proud to share the voices of notable, award-winning authors, as well as filmmakers, scientists, artists, athletes, activists and others, with the community. The Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation (LLLCF) presents events and programs, as well as manages room rentals at the library.

The Lafayette Branch of the Contra Costa Library system hosts a variety of events and programs for kids, teens and adults.
Lamorinda Arts Alliance
Lamorinda Arts Alliance works to promote and increase knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts, and to enhance the cultural development of Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda and the surrounding communities. LAA hosts shows, seminars, lectures and workshops.
Lamorinda Arts Council
The mission of the Lamorinda Arts Council is to ignite and sustain artistic expression and appreciation for all ages throughout Lamorinda. LAC produces events, provides support and awards to local artists, and advocates for a vibrant, local culture of visual, performing, and literary arts.
Rossmoor Big Band
The 32-piece Big Band of Rossmoor, comprised of musicians ages 13 to 93, enrich the lives of its members and the community through the music and sounds of the Big Band Era.
Saint Mary's College Museum of Art
Saint Mary's College Museum of Art in Moraga hosts exhibitions and programs (including tours and special events). Their permanent collection comprises more than 5,000 objects acquired through gifts, bequests, and purchases.
Town Hall Theatre Company
Established in 1944 as the Dramateurs, the award-winning Town Hall Theatre is the oldest continuously active theatre in Contra Costa County. THT’s home is in a historic theatre built in 1914 in downtown Lafayette at 3535 School Street. In addition to their artistic programming, they offer an extensive education program for children and adults.
