The Lafayette Library and Learning Center Art Galleries

For several years the Public Art Committee has selected exhibits for the Community Hall Gallery at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center. More information and a complete history of exhibitions may be seen by clicking on Library Public Art Gallery. Exhibitions are now also being held in the Homework Room, which is open during library hours.

Town Hall Theatre Gallery Collaboration

It is with great pleasure that the Public Art Committee announces that Lafayette’s historic Town Hall Theatre is a venue for exhibitions of local artists. This collaboration allows the City to expand programming to better serve the cultural arts communities in the area. Managing Director Dennis Markam has generously offered to open the theatre for receptions. More information may be seen by clicking on Town Hall Theatre Lobby Gallery.

Young Artist Virtual Gallery

The arts are a fundamental way for youth to express themselves.  The Public Art Committee seeks to invest in the broader community by showcasing this important perspective, and established The Young Artist Virtual Gallery which features the work of local, up-and-coming young artists. Visit the gallery here.

Display Case at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center

The Public Art Committee announces the availability of a museum-quality display case for small exhibitions of three-dimensional art or other objects of cultural or historical interest. The public art display case exhibit space is located in the Lafayette Library and Learning Center. Exhibitors interested in displaying work in the case must submit a complete Display Case Exhibition Application and executed Art Gallery Release to the City.  The application process and the application may be found by clicking on Display Case at the Library.
