The Emergency Preparedness Commission coordinates preparation and planning efforts to mitigate the effects of natural and man-made disasters.  The main focus of the Commission is to bring the Emergency Operations Center to a state of readiness by providing the necessary materials and resources for the assigned staff.  In addition, the Commission sponsors the Neighborhood Captains Program and provides training opportunities for Captains.

The Lafayette Emergency Preparedness Commission meets the 1st Monday of each month at 10:00am at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center in the the Art & Science Discovery Center, located at 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd.   See City Calendar for meeting details.
