Maps
The Map Room is intended to be a one-stop-shop for maps of Lafayette produced by various departments and agencies. Maps are available in one or more user-friendly formats: Adobe PDF, the City's interactive GIS "Community View", or Google Maps (KML) / Google Earth (KMZ).
Community View is a hosted Geographical Information System (GIS), which provides information about properties in the city. By entering a property address navigating the map, you can view information such as property lines, aerial photos, zoning, flood zones, public & private streets, etc. Once launched, click on the question mark icon for an overview of how to use the site, help, and frequently asked questions. As of 2018, Community View is no longer supported and may no longer be compatible with certain browsers. If Community View fails to launch, please try opening the link in a different browser.
The City also maintains a Major Development Projects page hosted by iCityWork Inc. New commercial construction, new multi-family construction projects of 5 units or greater, and major subdivisions (5+ lots) are shown. The webpage describes information about each project including application number, scope of work, General Plan Land Use Classification, zoning district, lot area, stories/height, gross floor area, project status, project images/plans, and contact information for each major development project.
Feedback and questions on anything in the Map Room are welcomed and can be sent to planner@lovelafayette.org.
