Sharon Tama
September - November 2019
The Public Art Committee of Lafayette is pleased to present the exhibition "Critters" by artist Sharon Tama in the Homework Center. Tama writes that "Life is full of moments waiting to be captured on canvas. It is both exhilarating and rewarding for me to explore the vast world of subject matter, color, light, and emotion. My paintings showcase a broad spectrum of subject matter: a slice of time in the midst of a conversation, childhood innocence in candid posture, an intriguing moss-encrusted twisted oak, the quirky personality of a much-loved dog. But my love of animals is a recurring theme. This exhibit reflects that narrative from the perspectives of reality and imagined whimsy."
