Planning, Design, & Construction of Low Impact Development Features and Facilities
The Contra Costa Clean Water Program is hosting a free workshop for land development professionals, including civil engineers, architects, landscape architects, geotechnical engineers, developers, contractors, and municipal staff reviewers. The workshop will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016, from 8:30 am to 12:30 in the Shadelands Civic Arts Center at 111 North Wiget Lane in Walnut Creek.
Topics will include:
- Provision C.3 changes in the reissued Municipal Regional Permit (MRP 2.0)
- Introduction to the revised and updated Stormwater C.3 Guidebook, 7th Edition
- Group discussion and review of Guidebook changes
- Best planning strategies and best design options for treatment and hydromodification management compliance
- How to avoid common planning and design errors
- How to integrate bioretention facilities into the layout of residential subdivisions and commercial developments
- When and when not to use pervious pavements
- Treatment options for high-density “special projects”
