On a hike from Juniper Campground to Green Ranch, the club will view late season wildflowers, learn about the geology of the mountain, visit an area recovering from the 2013 fire, and hear the fascinating history of Green Ranch. Bring hiking pole,s if you normally use them. Park entrance fee is $10. Moderate 4½ miles with a 500 foot elevation gain.
Meet at the parking lot at the corner of Olympic Blvd. & Pleasant Hill Rd. at 8:30 a.m. where hikers will form carpools to the trailhead. Bring lunch or snacks, water, layered clothing, good walking shoes, sun protection and money to contribute toward gas, bridge tolls and parking. ($3 local, more if further).
