The great California drought is here. Now is the time for you to take action and practice water conservation. In response to our serious water shortage, Sustainable Lafayette in partnership with the Lafayette Library & Learning Center is hosting a workshop called Water Conservation: Every Drop Counts. They want to help you do your best at saving water and are asking residents to come learn more about how you can conserve more water. This workshop is full of useful water conservation tips and facts, and includes the Top 10 Actions you can take to maximize water savings.
The workshop focuses on indoor and outdoor water conservation actions and practices that we can all easily do for free or low-cost. The class will give an overview of grey water systems and rain barrel systems.
The workshop will instructed by Todd Sutton, aka the “Waste Sleuth,” principle consultant of WasteSleuth.com and a sustainability expert with more than 23 years in the recycling and conservation field.
A $10 donation is suggested to cover room rental and other costs. Please register in advance today by email as space is limited.
If you would like additional information on this topic contact Kim Overaa. Alternatively, you may contact the workshop instructor, Todd Sutton via email, at (925) 787-8913, or online.
