On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Lafayette Community Foundation, in partnership with the City of Lafayette and the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, presents Lafayette Community Day, the first of its kind day of service and celebration.
“Lafayette is powered by volunteers, and in the spirit of communitarianism, I look forward to coming together at the first annual Lafayette Community Day to volunteer and celebrate all that makes us Love Lafayette!” said Lafayette Mayor Teresa Gerringer.

Schedule on Saturday, June 4
8:30 a.m. - During the Lafayette Community Day festivities, Lafayette will again raise the Rainbow flag to celebrate and support our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors.
9:00 a.m. - Volunteers arrive to check in, enjoy breakfast snacks. First 100 receive a t-shirt! Donations of canned goods accepted for the White Pony Express food drive for Ukrainian refugees.
9:15 a.m. - The rally begins and then team leaders and volunteers prepare to head out to work on projects throughout the community.
9:30 a.m. to noon - Volunteers are out and about doing their team projects.
12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Everyone returns to the park for lunch, a collaborative community-wide art project, a small nonprofit fair, other fun activities, music by the Traveling Wilburys Revue! and words of thanks and recognition for all those who helped to make this new annual event a big success. Note: Lunch is free for all those who signed up to volunteer. Others who attend for the concert and non-profit fair can purchase a lunch for $15 per person.
